I
love color.
I
have loved playing with color since those early exciting boxes
of crayons.
What a treat a new box of 12 fresh clean crayons was! And, to
learn there were more options- oooh!!.
My
Mother taught me to sew as a pre-teen. I enjoyed sewing
clothing, stuffed animals, home deco items + for many years.
In 1996, I started ‘quilting’ and found a true passion. These
past 6 years have been delightful, exploring many ways of
putting fabrics together, I’ve made some 270 pieces – large and
small.
Think ‘visual music’ when you see my work. It’s all about
color, surface texture & design. Something that thrills the eye
is my aim.
I feel extremely fortunate to have
something I enjoy this much. Being able to express myself in
this art form is a joy. It’s a real thrill for me, when others
enjoy it as well. In a critique, Wendy Huhn made this
wonderful comment:
“Her work is eye candy and food for the spirit.”
